Timeline: 4 months
Design Challenge:
Before rebranding as the Look and See Foundation, the organization had a long-standing legacy of giving. They drew inspiration from Wendell Berry, asking us to develop a bold public identity and value system, one shaped by Berry’s environmental ethos, but not defined by it. To guide our work, we returned to a central question: How might we blend poetic inspiration with philanthropic impact?Outcome:
We created an interactive website that brings the foundation’s values to life. It features the “Listen Button,” a nod to Berry’s influence, and design choices that elevate accessibility. The result is a platform that expands reach, deepens connection, and affirms the foundation’s commitment to equitable climate solutions.

Project Timeline: 8 Months
Design Challenge:
LabStart and it’s cohort of entrepreneurs were seeking to scale the visibility of their startups. We crafted engaging, interactive content and graphic profiles to add credibility to their growing companies and position them for funding.
Outcomes:
We crafted a dynamic suite of multimedia tools and triangulated insights to amplify the mission following a major rebrand. Our ongoing collaboration focuses on transforming these assets into Storymaps, geospatial mapping experiences, and other GIS platforms that effectively quantify and communicate multilayered impact.

Design Challenge:
Fractal needed a digital presence before fully establishing their brand identity. As they developed their core principles and services—while already engaging new opportunities—our challenge was to define what made them distinct, align offerings with user needs, and design a strategic web presence. The goal: a beautiful, simple, and modular platform that could grow alongside their evolving work.Outcomes:
Through co-created wireframes, we built a functional platform focused on clarity and impact. As ongoing partners, we continue to adapt the site to reflect Fractal’s expanding services, supporting a future-facing and flexible digital footprint.

Like a cloud, we are a collection of distinct elements moving as one.
No, not the cloud that stores your data. We mean the one that carries “proof of life” across the planet. The one that shapes landscapes, supports ecosystems and stirs the imagination.
Adonis Logan
Founding Partner | Head of Operations
Adonis rises each morning with a singular purpose: to help people discover their inherent connection to the environment. He supports anyone applying their unique skills to environmental challenges, believing this personal connection is essential for getting people to act on planetary issues we "should" care about.
-
The reason for his purpose: connection expands our imagination of what's possible. Adonis pursued knowledge on the environment — studying environmental science, receiving tutelage from seasoned investors, and collaborating with government scientists on climate tech — in order to develop his approach to articulating environmental solutions and potential.
His pursuit extends to board service with Next Step Homes (a housing nonprofit), the Look & See Foundation (philanthropy), and Posse Bay (college-access). These cross-sector connections enable him to reflect the nuance of environmental challenges we face.He treasures design as an opportunity to blend his technical background with creative skills honed as a writer, director, and photographer. Nicknamed “the sponge” for absorbing and repurposing concepts, Adonis draws from lived experiences spanning the Caribbean to the Bay Area, creating a unique lens to articulate possibility.
Marius Jackson
Founding Partner | Head of Design
Marius sees the world’s challenges as clay—malleable, ready to be shaped. Design is the table where he molds new ideas, perspectives, and approaches. The opportunity to help people recognize that everything is a design, both natural and man-made, fuels him. For Marius, design is an invitation to be curious—to dissect existing structures and reimagine them for a better world.
-
A creator, a maker, a tinkerer—Marius was designing long before he had the words for it. As a kid, he sketched constantly, dismantled gadgets, and reshaped environments, fascinated by how things worked. His design journey led him from top agencies to freelancing with mission-driven organizations, using design to amplify purpose. He has collaborated with the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, Youth Advocate Programs, and Posse, developing initiatives that champion equity and opportunity.
Rooted in research, strategy, and community engagement, Marius explores design’s role in advocacy. His thesis at Syracuse University focused on redesigning artifacts of protest for more effective demonstrations, reinforcing his belief that design isn’t just about aesthetics or function—it’s about power, access, and human impact.
To Marius, design thinking and human-centered design don’t just reflect the environment and its challenges—they inform each other holistically, shaping how problems are solved and systems are built. His work continues to reinforce this perspective, allowing him to craft curricula and storytelling frameworks that empower communities.
For Marius, design is more than a profession—it’s a responsibility to shape the world with intention.
