Backing 35+ founders, taking climate innovation out of research labs and into the world.
With their inaugural cohort, LabStart launched a model for getting climate innovations out of research labs and into the world, connecting underinvested founders to the resources they need to scale. When CloudsN’Humans came on board, we translated the team’s learnings into an immersive digital map that gave six climate entrepreneurs significant digital exposure across key impact areas. It became the place where innovators, funders, and community came to understand the work. For their next cohort, it became their most powerful recruiting tool, and applicants and funders came looking for what they’d seen on the map.
“CloudsN’Humans’ ability to translate climate tech into compelling stories made them an invaluable partner.”

$19M committed to organizations tackling the acute needs of people and planet.
As a strategic partner, CloudsN’Humans worked with Inclusive Capital Foundation at the moment of reinvention. Founder Jeff Ubben’s decision to rename the organization Look + See opened a new direction, one inspired by Wendell Berry, the writer and poet who taught us to look closely at land and the people who tend both. We built an identity and digital platform that bridged the poetic, the practical, and the financial, creating a central place to uplift grantees and make the flow of capital visible. We didn’t just build a website. We built the ecosystem where funders, grantees, and communities meet.
“Our vision lived in PDFs. CloudsN’Humans took that and built a system that reflected where we were actually headed.”

$49.5M in lifetime energy savings delivered to families in over 3,800 homes.
Next Step has spent two decades placing families in energy-efficient manufactured homes — but the complexity of that work, and the weight of “mobile home” stereotypes, made it hard to tell that story to the people who needed to hear it. We built an interactive storymap that wove their entire ecosystem into a single, scrollable narrative — following a fictional resident from housing search to move-in day. It replaced scattered presentations and Salesforce data pulls with something a funder could actually feel. It became the pitch.
“The CNH team made our decades of impact visible by using design to translate our story.”

$4M distributed connecting solar developers to frontline communities through equitable benefit grants.
CloudsN’Humans was instrumental in developing the visual language for Sustain Our Future Foundation (SOFF) during a crucial phase. At that time, three years into their work with significant progress, SOFF lacked a brand identity that matched the scope of their mission. SOFF operates at a unique cross-section: linking corporate solar developers with the frontline communities often excluded from the clean energy transition. Our work involved creating a comprehensive brand identity and a suite of digital tools. This solution effectively brought their entire operational model to light, clearly illustrating the flow of funding and showcasing the compelling human stories that underscore their efforts.
“They refreshed our materials and translated our process into visuals that communicate who we are.”
